On February 7, 2002, Beijing Intermediate People’s Court announced judgement to the lawsuit by Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems Co. Ltd against Beijing Zhangzhong Wireless Information Technology Co. Ltd. for infringement of computer software copyright, property right and unfair competition. The court ordered Beijing Zhangzhong Wireless Information Technology Co. Ltd. cease infringement of the plaintiff’s immediate communication system and compensate RMB2,000,000 for the plaintiff’s economic loss.
