Data Information Service Co. Ltd., as an affiliation of Pacific Century Cyberworks, registered the initial letters PCCW of its parent company as trademark in several classes, including class 9 on the goods of “computers” and class 38 on the services of “telecommunications” in China during 2002 and 2003. Data Information Service Co. Ltd. also registered domain names “pccw.com” and “pccw.com.cn” in 1998 and 2000 respectively. Without registration of domain name “pccw.cn” get Data Information Service Co. Ltd. involved in the dispute to Beijing High Court.
