Synopsys Sues Magma Design for Patent Infringement
Synopsys (SNPS) announced Friday filing a suit with the Federal Court against Magma Design Automation (LAVA).

Synopsys said they have received a letter from Magma claiming use of three patents, two of which are found by Magma’s inventor Lukas van Ginneken, a former Synopsys employee.

Synopsys also said, there is no such thing as patent infringement, so long as they are the lawful owner of the two patents.
