Cornice Fires Back at Seagate and Western Digital
Hard disc manufacturer Cornice announced filing a countersuit in response to a patent infringement lawsuit filed in June by Seagate Technology.

Cornice’s counterallegation filed with the US Delaware District Court states that Seagate’s patents are invalid, uninforcable, and not infringed by Cornice’s products. Cornice also alleges that Seagate’s lawsuit is baseless and already constitutes unfair competition and tortious interference, according to Colorado State law.

In addition, Cornice has counteraccused another hard disk manufacturer, Western Digital, which previously brought similar charges against it.
