Honeywell will Sue 34 Companies for LCD Infringement
American chemical giant Honeywell raised a lawsuit against 34 MNCs incl. Dell, Sony and Toshiba yesterday to stop violation of its LCD patents and get compensation. Liu Renbo, expert with the Market Economy Research Institute of the State Council Development Research Center, sees in this case patent interests re-distribution, which could hardly bring about any visible market effects in the foreseeable future.
