Beijing promulgates measures on patent commercialization

In order to further promote the implementation of Intellectual Property (IP) strategy, stimulate and support the commercialization of patented technologies and boost the right transfer and implementation of IP, Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office and Municipal Bureau of Finance jointly released "Promotion Measures on Patent Commercialization" to support the patent transfer and licensing which meet specific conditions in the process of patent commercialization.

The"measures" requires the municipal financial department to set up a special fund for the supports. The patent transfer and lessening applying for subsidies should sign contracts according to law. Meanwhile, the "measures" makes definite regulations on patent commercialization behavior, supporting standard and review of application materials.

The "measures" includes 18 items and the supports will be carried out from August 1
