On October13th, a new online copyright service platform, Works Managing System, was officially launched by the Copyright Protection Center of China. It aims to help copyright holders to obtain a certification for completion of their work more timely and easily. Along with the launching of the platform, the service principles, detailed fulfilling formalities as well as the online platform for the system were also published. This online managing platform will set the application, payment, storage, delivery, information extraction, renewal of insurance, information publishing and many other functions in one system to ensure that the service can be provided within two working days. Being a national copyright public service institution, the Copyright Protection Center of China can issue certification for copyright owners’ works to support their legal rights during creation, application and dissemination of their works.
